InfantSEE® is a public health program designed to ensure that eye and vision care becomes an integral part of infant wellness care to improve a child’s quality of life. InfantSEE doctors, like the doctors at Blacksburg Eye Associates, are committed to early detection of visual disorders and eye disease, and provide a free comprehensive examination to infants six to twelve months old.

Answer: 6 months
The age that the American Optometric Association recommends parents to bring their children in for the first examination of the eyes and visual system.
When you go outdoors with your children we all think about covering up from the sun – hats and sunscreen. But you can’t put sunscreen on your eyes! The UV rays from the sun are very damaging to the fragile structures and tissues in and around the eyes, and protecting them should start as early as possible.
This is why we are committed to carry various lines of sun wear for children and infants, including the Julbo Loops (seen here). Come by any time to start protecting those little eyes!
